I love this song! I don't care who inspired this song for Powderfinger.... it always makes me think of a fantastic bloke I used to work with (for approx. 13 years or so). Yes, his name was Ray, and unfortunately he did fall down the stairs (without doing too much damage) and I always attributed the line "testing out your head space" to our boss giving him shit. Sadly, my friend Ray passed away - he was larger than life and I will miss him very much. Anytime I hear this song, I will forever remember my dear friend.

LMAO Don't listen to him, he's full of shit. It's a song taking the piss out of Ray Martin, a celebrity journalist from Australia who many people have accused of being a sellout. Think "Kent Brockman" from the Simpsons and you've got a pretty good idea what kind of a person he is.
