I love this song, really love the tune but when the girl starts to sing it is really scary. Or it is just me. As I am strange but I'm unique and that is the way I like it.

What motivated her to write this? I guess that it's about a bulimic, but does anyone know who it was?

Second verse always gets me. My friend was showing signs of bulimia about a year ago, and once I'd all but caught her. She managed to make up an unconvincing lie, and I wanted so badly to believe it, I pretended to. Around the same time, I was self-mutilating. Coincidentally, one of my favourite spots to cut were the palms of my hands (there's easy excuses: I fell, I broke a dish at work and had to clean it up, I was climbing a tree.) She never asked but she knew. I knew. We barely said a word.
