I have been a fan of Poco since, well, the end of Buffalo Springfield. Give a listen to"Kind Woman" on Springfield's final album LAST TIME AROUND and you will hear the genesis of Poco. Every Poco line up has had some merit and each has produced great music. The group that gave us this video is the original group and I was over joyed when the album came out. Talent will win out every time.

We've got all nightLet's take our timeTell me your secretsI'll tell you mineWhen it makes us feel betterCall it loveYou say you won'tI say you willYou make me crazyBut I want you stillWhen it makes us feel betterCall it loveDo we tell the truthOr do we live a lieIs the feeling goodIs that what makes you cryWhen you say those wordsLook me in the eyeTell me why you call it loveI play my handYou call my bluffWe push each other'Til we've had enoughWhen it's all you've gotCall it loveIf I didn't have moneyWould you want me stillWhen you look real closeDo we fit the billCall it what you wantBut only time will tellDo we tell the truthOr do we live a lieIs the feeling goodIs that what makes you cryWhen you say those wordsLook me in the eye

I heard this at walgreens for the first time since I was in middle school (around 25 years) I was sick as hell going through heroin withdrawals that day coming from detox, this song was playing and I heard it and I was trying to figure out who the hell this was but I was going through so much I couldn't make out the lyrics, just that distinctive guitar. Yesterday I heard it FINALLY in our showroom at work wrote down the lyrics and you tubed it. I've listened to it about 50 times since then. I haven't touched heroin since 1/26/14. This song reminds me of that horrible detox day, such a great song made a few minutes bearable.

I liked the original lineup up best. The band has certainly had a revolving door of members coming and going. But they made some great music. This is one of their best in my humble opinion. I also think this song and the video would stand up today's current music and videos. When MTV first began, the video's were pretty cheesy but the music was good. We weren't really technically savvy back then. I think we had barely gotten out of out "Pong" playing days. Anybody recall that game? It was an amazing little game when it first came out. But I think back on it now, and what could occupy a bunch of stoned people better than hitting a little ball back and forth. Technology certainly has advanced. A little to fast for my taste:)

Wow! I have heard this song like a million times (purchased the cd) but I have never seen the official music video. I was living overseas (at the time of initial release) and this video was not played where I lived at. What a crying shame. Wow! There are some great looking women in this video to this song. I am VERY impressed. Heck, these women are great looking by today's standards IMHO and their clothes do not look outdated (the early 1980s look). BTW...I almost forgot. What a great song too...lol. One of my top 10 songs from the 1980s. This is the album that I remember hearing from Poco (too young for their other music on release). I may have to watch this video again and again. :)
