KEXP is like community service for my ears. They take care of them after a long rush of cheesy music.

I’ve been saved by the music more than a time or two, writing my way back into your heart and cancelling all of our misfortunes on the doorway of the estate of the coming kingdom I called out your name one last time before I walked this well worn path back to the beginning I dreamed last night you were still lying here beside me and I could hear you breathing as I whispered one last prayer that you will be smiling in my direction when morning first rises…and the chanting and guitar players

Thank you brother, Thomas Wolfe's You Can't Go Home Again was echoing throughout me when I wrote that. Now my head is a swirl of my grandmother's red bricked floor, the crumbling smokehouse and dried tobacco hanging in the rafters watching the sun set over the hills. You are all missed as well.

I've rarely seen such a poetic comment here, on YouTube. I am in Tennessee, and, although I do not know you, I miss you. We miss you.

Yea, there might be a better radio station out there somewhere; but I sure haven't found it yet. Absolutely incredible bands and videos. I probably find 80-90% of my new music through KEXP. Gracias

For the last seven years as an exile from Tennessee who has traversed ex-Soviet spaces and run for long enough to realize that parents might chase down frightened rabbit children into the bushes but former lovers and friends move on as you wait in darkness for voices that never call, this song not long ago became something more than just the song before Cocaine Lights. It's the sorrow of a home I left behind, a home that no longer exists for me to come back to. But there is still beauty...

Just for the record, it's ten to seven in the morning, and I've been watching this video since about 4am. Because it's perfect. Good work KEXP

Great song. Only three chords. The magic, to me, is in the vocals and fingerpicking

Saw them first as support for The National and was blown away. Saw them do a headline show last Thursday and when Matthew performed Wolves, this and a Nick Cave song alone on guitar i was stunned. The whole place was completely silent and everyone just seemed completely lost in his raw, emotion filled voice. Pure and beautiful. The gig was amazing, one of the best i've been to.
