Thank-you krutponken for all the videos you post on Phil.If I heard this song today I would find out who was singing it and when was he going on tour. This song is just so beautiful it doesn't sound like it is about 47 years old.I was only 13 years old when this came out and didn't get into Phil until 5 years later when I was 18.And I loved him from the first time I heard him and love him as much today.I luckily got to see Phil in 71 or 72 at a small folk club.Miss you much Phil Ochs.

i wore out three copies of this on vinyl when it was released. loved phil. he was the 'real deal who i was lucky enough to see many times in the village when i was kid. today's the anniversary of his death and it's indeed sad that more people know his brother michael for his photo collection than they do him. RIP mr. ochs.

Thank you so much! And I see from the suggestions that Tim Hardin did it. I guess he did the same song. Phil Ochs was so influential in the folk music of the 1960s. It's ironic more people don't know who he is.
