Oh my I can't believe I finally found this song!! It was the first thing I heard on the first crystal radio I ever built. It was on WDGY wayyyy back in 1973! It was such a fun sounding song but due to my hearing impairment, I got the lyrics all wrong! But a friend on FaceBook figured it out as I embarrassed myself on YouTube singing the refrain as best I could remember, LOL! HalleluYah My soul can finally rest!

Helen, hell on wheels... this brings back all the grime and soot and the smell of aromatic autumn leaves being burned. Councils banned burning leaves in the gutters decades back in the mid-seventies. This is just a fond few memories that McCartney's track brought back to me... precious !

"Helen Wheels" is a song by Paul McCartney & Wings. The song was named after Paul and Linda McCartney's Land Rover, which they nicknamed "Hell on Wheels" :)
