I saw Rush few years later in Columbus. It was a phenominal show, 7 rows back. But no show has ever had the intangible feel that this Pantera concert had. I think metalheads have a unique fucking bond. And when a shitload of us get together and you mix Slayer and Pantera into it, it makes for a special fucking moment. I remember Phil saying in between songs when the crowd would go ape shit for 5 minutes that they didnt expect that. Huntington was definately Pantera country that night. Awesome.

Wow, that is so awesome to be able and see. I honestly thing that was one of the best days of my life. It was nonstop intense as shit when the curtain dropped and there was Slayer. I was soaked completely by the end of their set. It was just fucking surreal. It wasnt just seeing them and how awesome that was. It was the whole atmosphere. No show has ever compared to that one for me. I remember seeing Tool not long after. And me and my buddy joked that we wished Pantera would just come back out.

I remember this show like it was yesterday! I caught a pic, and had an awesome time! Wish I could hit "replay"!!!!! Just like someone else said about the crowd...it was AWESOME. I love how old mosh pits respected each other and never left anyone down. We looked after each other but loved beating the sh*t out of each other at the same time! RIP DIMEBAG!!!

totally agree...if you remember while phil was talking at one point ...he told us what a fucking bad ass audience we were...said pantera wont be around for a while but the first place they come to when they return would be right here in Huntington...of course we all know how that turned out........rip DIMEBAG

i love the fact i was there to witness this shit it was so damn great...got drunk , got high, took some liquid oh dear god the trip hit me when slayer hit the stage...i was scared to death at this point but man this might be the greatest single night of my life....first show at 15 yrs old me and 2 buddies we thought we were the shit haha

I was there. Got to meet and talk shop with Dime outside while I was smoking while Skrape was playing (they sucked). I was about two or three rows back from right front....Dime even pointed at me during one of the songs....Great show. They set off car alarms in the parking garage across the street with their finale. I got a boot to the head too...crowd surfer came down right on top of me. Best show i've ever been to.

i agree on all counts. maybe the best show huntington had ever/will ever see. friends every step you took. it's no wonder it wasn't violent, everyone knew each other. still shocks me that pantera AND f'n slayer were even allowed to play there. awesome, awesome show. i filmed all the pantera. i'll put more up soon. didn't film slayer. there was a snafu. sucks, and it turned out shitty, but better than nothing right?

I took a girl to her 1stSlayer concert here. She was so scared about the crowd. But it was unbelieveable down front. Look there is no mush pit. You video shows no mush pit. Everyone was high & singing every word. What god put this show together.
