@purpleshoes Yeah, but I've seen him in videos of their live performances (I've never had the honor of actually seeing them live), but I think those were only their earlier stuff so he must have been in the band for a while. I mean, I'm pretty sure playing on their albums and playing with them live constitutes as being in the band.

i love how he does the orchestration for arcade fire. Every time I listen to them and notice the amazing string arrangements it makes me think a this amazing guy. And hearing him do no cars go just gives me chills

Owen's music is far more classically flavored than Bird's... I prefer it, but that's just opinion. Yes, Andrew Bird is the better guitarist and whistler, but when it comes to being musician, they're completely incomparable. They're both brilliant violinists and lyricists. Leave it at that.
