She was a shy girl. Some may say she could've been proud, and anti-social, full of terrible cold pride. She spewed lies, but she only spewed lies of comfort. She never stopped laughing. She knew how to laugh, she knew how to make it real. She had friends, whom she didn't exactly be herself to. She was just pleasing them, just reflecting them, like a mirror. She fancies herself as a walking mirror, she really does. One day, he came over, broke her pride, demanded her attention. She gave it to him, not because she herself want to, but because she let him have it, like anyone would if they asked.Days passed, he melted the cold ice barriers down, she was scared, unsure, but she let him. She wanted to know what would happen.Soon, she began to help him break her barriers, and laid her lies in plain sight. He saw it, and confronted it. And she gave in, with a vow to never lie to him. A vow, that she had indeed kept till the very end. They began to dance together, mind and soul, they reflect, and showed themselves. She realised she had fallen in love with him, somehow. And she cherished it, for it was her first. He knew her, and she knew him. But, as days passed, he begun to fade out and back in, she had minded, but thought it wasn't worth being annoying for. She kept her doubt to herself, trying to crush it. Again, days passed, he went away more, flirting with girls. She watched, unsure if she should've confronted him. She then decided, it's not worth stirring a fight over something that she could've jumped into conclusion. She watched as he played, as he came back to her, and as he goes away again. She stayed silent still.Until one day, he told her, he had fallen out of love with her. Shock hit her, even thought her doubt was the size of herself, she was still shocked to had her fears confirmed. She gave in to denial. Dnial turned into rage. And rage turned bargain. She bargained for his love back, promised to be what he wanted, to be what he loved, promised to change. He refused, with heads down, sadness in his voice. When she became quiet, he went away.Night after night, her pillow was soaked with tears. Showers after showers, she sat numbed under the showers. She ate, without tasting. She laughed, without laughter. When she realised she had been vulnerable, she begun to pull her walls back up, and started to overreact at the slightest action.she laughed loud and shilling. She spoke harsh words. She scrunch her face in disgust. She huff at the effort of others. She excreted demeanour of a proud woman, uncaring. But day after days, she searched for him. Still had soft emotions on her face from time to time. She wondered if he had eaten, if he had slept well, if he had been happy.Whenever he laughed, her heart tugged softly. Whenever he was frustrated, she wondered if she could solve it without him knowing. She wondered, if he ever felt sad, because she realised, she had never saw him sad. Perhaps, she thought to herself, he knew, somehow, she's watching out for him. Until today, I still loved him.
