Today is the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's "I have a Dream" speech during 1963's March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. This song is from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and is mostly an instrumental interspersed with snips from King's speech. It's titled "Southern" and is off their 1986 album Pacific Age.

I saw a documentry on this last night. He received many death threats and in this speach he hit back at those death threats by the quotes "I want to live a long life, but im not concerned about that now!" and "Im not worried about anything, I am not fearing any man." A great inspiration, no matter what creed or colour you are!

I saw OMD at Oxford Apollo, Autumn 1986. It was the first 'real' music concert I'd been to. I was blown away with the brilliance. Was expecting it to be a bit bland as I thought there'd be a grat deal of programmed music, but the full band was superb. I seem to remmeber they opened with this, and showed pictures -probably similar to your video on a scren behind them. Unfortunatley I was in the top balcony and couldn't really see what they they were showing. Still great memories.
