I purchased my copy of this on cassette when it was released. Olivia definitely was deserving of every accolade she received in 1978. All over the radio between the soundtrack of "Grease" and this amazing release. Thanks for posting! Best wishes to all for a successful 2015!

You must have great memories associated with all the music from the dynamite soundtrack of Grease, and the holidays are an exciting time to get such a great album. I just cannot believe how Olivia took the cake with that film and the Totally Hot album. How impressive.

You'd be right. Grease was released in 1978 - I think America had it around Easter, it opened in cinemas here in the Uk in September that year. IIRC, she was recording Totally Hot as soon as Grease wrapped; I think I got my copy of the vinyl EMI release in Christmas that year.

Truly Olivia at her peak. Grease came out around this time, I believe. She had been making music every year since the early 70s, I can see why she then wanted to catch her breath, coming back for Xanadu. Then there was Physical. What a way to soar through the early 80s. However, the gears had to be changed, and so our star then began to take her time with albums. It is dazzling to consider how much she has continued to do over the last three decades. I hope to hear even more from Olivia.

What a great song!!! first concert I ever saw was ONJ .... I was 12 and this song still rocks it down!!! I have the album... just got it in the mail on cd ... it cost's more today then it did back in 1978..... love this entire album.... its so fantasitc!!! I play it loud in my Jeep everyday as loud as my speakers can handle... LOL love it
