This is the way music should be. Five guys getting together to play music that they like to play and enjoy. Doesn't matter if its not commercial or no one will listen to it. As long as they have a great time playing it. No bit hit single, hit album or video. None of that stupid brain dead crap. Just great music that flows. That's all that matters.

I had lunch with peter rowan at the auburn fairgrounds in the early 80s I was interviewing him for Music West Magazine, a little rag published by the foothills musicians coalition in Placer county. Hooked up with him again a few years later in San Luis Obispo at the Palamino Club...great guy....talked to Jesse Colin Young in auburn too also a nice fella...Jerry Jeff was playing there that day too but he wouldn't give me any time to say hello....thats OK gave me more time to enjoy Peter's company for lunch.

When I start thinking about KFAT and those fantastic summer nights smoking weed...drinking vodka at Don Pedro Lake...water ski the lake early in the morning hours....screwing for a while...smoking more weed and drinking more vodka and having KFAT on the radio...great food cooking on the grill....thankfully the KFAT station was "High atop the Gilroy Hotel in the garlic capitol of the world"...we got get reception even though Gilroy was well over a hundred miles away on a straight line. Shit!! I have to listen to Peter....Jerry...Vassar....what talent...God damned what talent!! I lived thru those days and they were the fuck'n absolute best!!
