"Lido Pier Suicide Car" is about singles bars, interstellar navigation, mysterious disappearances, charisma, cocktail hour, abandonment, and slimy things that crawl with legs upon the slimy sea. It's kind of the dividing line down the middle of our album "The Silver Gymnasium." This is a video of me playing it in the Silver Gymnasium. The album version features optigan, wineglasses, casio, mandolin, and the very versatile and musical Roland JX3P synthesizer. This version is just me and the 9-second reverb of a gym from the early part of the last century.
