Saw them live in Peterborough , late 70s ,the pics of that gig ended up on the cover of Live Cutz , me and my brother can be seen in the crowd on the photo of Mick Davenport! .what a great live band, Mick Davenport was a phenomenal guitar slinger, doing things way before his time ,

I 'v seen them in the Cumberland Liverpool didn't no much about them but new right away the singer was great they were doing covers and Lloyds' hair was short.... I started singing in a band and we quite after a year I got information that a band was looking for a lead singer so I got in touch and arranged to see them at a gig the band was called Pictures so the penny never dropped.........when I got there I looked on the stage I recognized Lou and his bottle of Newcastle brown to which he always drank on stage..... I turned to the girl I was with and said fuck that... No way am I going to try and step In Dave Lloyds' boots The girl said were here now so I went up and introduced my self they were fine arranged an audition............ I sung feel like making love Bad Co and a couple of others and to my surprise they wanted me on board......... went to Lou's house in wavertree and got the set off him When I got home and listened to the set I was a bit saddened to see they had mellowed down for the public more gig's more money I tired to get In to the stuff but If you don't like what your doing then whats the point .........Took the set back to Lou and thanked him for the offer but I am not Into the stuff............. Well in the day I audition for Genesis (And they got In tutch with me WoW) got a very good response but they took on the singer from a band called stiltskin I've been in pub bands ever since a THUNDER tribute and still rocking around Merseyside must be getting to the end of my singing days now...............Thought this might be of interest maybe not.........

Great stuff...way ahead of its time, pre dates Bon Jovi by ten years. and you think the director here working on a rock show, should be able to tell who is playing lead guitar.

First saw this band when they supported Quo in the late 70's, and then later again in club in Blackpool. A tight little band that deserved more acclaim than they received. Seem to remember them doing The Magic Roundabout theme tune.

Just read the feature on NUTZ on the Classic Rock website (cult heroes section) dated 2010. The feature mentioned a possible reforming of the band (obviously missing John, RIP). Did anything develop. I was a great fan of the band during the 70s and would love to see them again.

My brothers band supported them in the opening week of Camden's Music Machine back in 1976 / 77.

I had this album, my friends and I were blown away with the speed on the guitarist. How these guys went under the radar still baffles me.
