Sorry, I havent posted videos in a while two months ago I was finally hired; so I didnt have much free time.
This song is the Russian interpretation of Belle from Notre Dame de Paris. When a musical was planned in Russia, a contest was announced for best lyrics. A 14 year old girl wrote what was to become one of Russias greatest hits.
Perhaps, the success of the song wasnt entirely on its merits. A shock campaign on the Central radio channel had this song played every 15 minutes, permanently implanting it into consciousness of every Russian with radio access.
Performing some variation of these lyrics, then, became a mandatory component of any comic routine.
Still, the song is pretty good, and the music video really does it justice.

Według mnie Esmeralda jest najpiękniejsza w Rosyjskiej i Włoskiej wersji. W Rosyjskim nie podoba mi sie to, że zmienili poczatek kazdego zdania ( 'belle') i końcówkę (zamiast 'Esmeralda' to 'za noc z tobą'), ale i tak jest w 3 moich ulubionych wersji :)) (1Paryska 2Włoska i 3Rosyjska) Polska pozdrawia :D10 years ago

Илья, изумительный перевод на английский, спасибо за то, что не только наш народ теперь может оценить красоту и смысл русских слов в этой песне. Но только, когда Макарский поет "В раба мужчину превращает красота", ты переводишь как "A man is turned into slave by beauty". Мне кажется, тут было бы уместнее поставить "men", так как, мне кажется, говорится о всех мужчинах обобщенно, а не только о Фебе =)11 years ago

I'm Russian and I'm so proud of our version of Notre Dam de Paris. I'm proud of my beautiful language and this awesome version of "Belle". Svetlana Svetikova as Esmeralda is amazing. I love the original French version, and I think Garou is the best Quasimodo, but when I read NDdP, I imagined Esmeralda's appearance not like Segara's but like Svetikova's. And why don't you like her smiling through all the video? Esmeralda was naive, cheerful and happy before. That's why her smile is harmonic and logical here.11 years ago
