Big Pun is the best flow forever. Big Pun kill biggie in a band, if both sing together. Big Pun had flow, sick rhymes, punchilines, voice, everything a songwriter needs. Big Pun the lyrical master.

Sadly, some people get stuck with these life choices. I've seen it, I've not done so myself, but have seen people struggle like this. For example, someone makes ONE bad mistake as a teen. That teen tries...let's see...say a new drug under peer pressure. They get addicted. From that, it moves onto a bigger drug. Money is needed to support the habit. It gets so bad, they are driven to commit crimes!e to get the money they need to get their fix just to be able to function normally. Then one day the get busted. There's a criminal record. Now, years later, they're sober, out of jail, but that criminal record, even if one felony on it, ruins their chances of a good job, This person was trying so hard to fix their life, but that record will hold them back. So then what? The biggest paying, easy money job in this situation IS dealing, They don't want to do it, but they have to to be able to support themselves and (if there is yet) their family. :( I understand. I have not been through it, only the addiction part, but luckily I have no criminal record and I've been sober from opiates for 3 years now. But because of my time suffering from addiction, I've seen a lot of people struggling like that. Its not the right thing to do, but sometimes that's what their only option is left at times I guess.

I hate this piece of crap so much. This is all rap fans care about is sounding as hardcore and gangster as possible. It's embarrassing and I can go watch a good gangster movie like good fellas or the godfather to get a more badass gangster than this cringeworthy sack of posturing shit.

Thanks for this post. In a similar way to "alternative" rock artists of the same era (I. e. Kurt Cobain, Smashing Pumpkins), rap artists like Biggie and Tu Pac (and, even early rappers like Grandmaster Flash and Run DMC) all took real life and turned it to art. "Artist" described these people and their craft; not just a label for a voice on a song. The ability to do what these people did is not an easy thing to do. Need proof? Turn on any radio station claiming "today's" hip-hop, rock or "hits". True. I am in my 40s and have been in the radio business for 26 years. Age is not a major player, because in the 80s, I could hear an intelligible message through MY parent's music of the 60s. With few exceptions, most of what makes it to radio, TV, satellite radio and major music labels is dysfunctional garbage, by "artists", who have sold out.
