i am really impressed with these people. at first glance, when i heard one of my first songs from there i thought they were Christian because of the song, love a little. but now this is one of their other songs, singing alil about the darker side of the secular world. no matter if they believe or not or atheist or christian or what ever they are. there is alot of *real* feelings in the lyrics. i respect this band they make some great music

I love the song (Life is Life). Great lyrics and music. A very good video, too. The one thing that I don't like is that the dicks who run YouTube can't seem to do one very simple thing: MAINTAIN A CONSTANT VOLUME LEVEL!!! Specifically, when the page containing this video opens (after clicking on the link to it), an advertisement for a new Three Days Grace album begins to play. That's not a problem. The problem is that it begins to play at a VOLUME THAT IS THREE OR FOUR TIMES THE VOLUME AS THE PREVIOUS "Noah and the Whale" video that I just finished watching. Kinda' ruins the mood/vibe when I'm sitting here listening to a smooth, gentle groove of something like "There Will Come a Time" at a volume of 3, then the page for the "Life is Life" video opens, and the next thing that happens is a DEAFENINGLY LOUD SCREAMING (from someone who sounds like they are being ripped to shreds by a chainsaw, a pride of lions & a great white shark all at the same time. This is accompanied by the sound of a DEAFENINGLY LOUD, SHREDDING GUITAR LEAD!!!!!! Even if "Three Days Grace" didn't suck, I would be quite put off by whatever/whomever's music was being advertised. Why? Because without touching the volume control, the advertisement for their album emerged from my speakers at a VOLUME LEVEL OF 10 - 15!!!! I was so shocked by it that I fell over in my chair trying to get to the volume control. Too late. My wife came in (not surprisingly, quite cranky), and wanted to know why I had cranked up something that horrendous when she was trying to sleep. So, THANKS SO VERY MUCH to the DICK ENGINEERS at YouTube their lackluster effort at making YouTube a user friendly experience.

This song reminds me of two other songs... 'Lola' by The Kinks and 'Dont Come Around Here No More' by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. It has kind of a Tom Petty feel to it...very likeable. Thumbs up!
