I don't think Alanis actually hated 'Now Is The Time', she did actually want to include some of her early material, but I believe there were complications with MCA Records Canada and her current label.

Remarkable how she looked so mature when she was a teenie and seems not to have aged (except for some tiny wrinkles), only changed since then!

Damn, I actually remember this, you know I'm a metal kinda guy but it's Alanis. She can do any kind of music she wants and still make it great. Alanis fully can transcend any genre. I am not ashamed to say I listen to this at least once every other day. She's a cool chick!

well it was 1992, i think being canadian and catching up to 80's pop ala Belinda Carlisle, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson... this would have been a smash in 1987-9

"Now Is the Time" is her best album. I wish she had made more albums in the same vein.

She should hate "Supposed Former Infactuation Junkie" instead. That was a downright embarressment of an album.

Better songwriter now. Better singer then.

I can't believe that after all these years this song still invokes strong feelings in me, more so since the loss I have gone through recently

Wierd - it's almost country music - or 1970's pop. Really dull compared to her later stuff - Good for her to make such a bold transition.
