Motorhead is propably more about composing and melodies than about voice of Lemmy.

If you consider the fact Kurt Cobain had no technique of his most recognizable type singing, which means, to get his rasp he was just screaming as damn loud as it's possible, then yeah, I guess his voice wasn't worse, though it sounds worse. Really, don't get me wrong, Motorhead are amazing, but Lemmy doesn't have a good voice itself.

To each his own. His voice isn't for everybody but he had some cool vocal parts on the first few Motorhead albums.
