its not BIT its "they beat him in the side" (cuz the spear to 'make sure Jesus was dead'). it sounds different cuz of kurts Aberdeen twang/accent. he says words a lil diff than most ppl. also mumbled in other songs especially if he wasnt trying/or mistake. but it was a nice touch to his grunge voice/sound.like on About A Son he says the word "deformed" as "deeformed" instead of"diˈfôrmd" i cud go on and on... na na na
