What a rare treasure - I never knew there was any footage of the band live (well, miming live!). I might have guessed that Beat Club would have had them on and archived the footage. They were so far ahead of the stuffy, staid British TV of the time, even though the UK was at the forefront of the musical revolution of the 60s. All we got was Top Of The Pops and 'safe' family entertainment from the likes of Lulu, Sandie, Dusty, Tom Jones, Engeldinck and Cliff, with predictable guest spots (except for when Hendrix appeared on Lulu's show and caused mayhem!)It'd be useful to locate a complete list of the line-ups for all the Beat Club shows - I'm just going to have a Google around on that one. Thanks so much for posting this, fritz5172 - I'm glad I've lived long enough for technology to add this gem to my musical experience!

Aside from loving this song by itself, I love it even more because I worked the front desk in a hotel lobby with a Magdalena; it kind of became our theme song thereafter.

Hi Norman (Normski?) I find it funny too. No one I know remembers it either. I seem to have a talent for that. I recently got a radio station to play one by Bob Lynd called Hey Nellie Nellie from 1966 which no one remembers either. Not so fussy about Mu7lberry Bush altho loved Hole in my Shoe. Absolutely LOVED sixties music. Still do. We have a great station U105 which you can access on internet plays old music. Nice to hear from you.

Haha, if you guys are wondering what Kurt thought of this band, he wrote in his journal "...not to be confused with that 60s band, because they suck!".
