Are you stupid, or is that an act? Kurt most definitely saw himself as a punk rocker. He idolized punk rock, and made many of his life decisions based on how "punk" he thought the decision was. He analyzed punk rock, and it's freedoms and downfalls endlessly in the book Journals. Almost every interview he ever gave talked about punk rock being freedom. He was even attracted to his wife because he thought she fit the punk rock look he was going for. Just what the fuck are you talking about?

Yet his favorit album was back in black with AC/DC, and his favorite album with Nirvana was In Utero because it sounded the most heavy. So read your Nirvana history proberly, or shut the fuck up.

When they were recording, Kurt was almost apologizing for this song because it's very much a pop song. Kurt wanted people to think he was a punk rocker, but he wants to write pop songs. I'll tell you, a punk attitude and sound with a mentality to write songs like the Beatles really was a great idea. It brought people together that otherwise did not uhnderstand each other. Hippies and punks.. flower power type people finally could smash shit, and punk ass people could finally love.
