I get why people aren't into NIN, but if they just took a second to listen to the lyrics maybe they'd understand the poetry and sadness underneath the industrial sounds

I don't think I could have gotten through my teen years without NIN, but Pretty Hate Machine is helping me through my adult years more than anything. I never truly understood this album until now. I feel like these songs were written for me at this exact stage in my life. It's insane and amazing.
