he is a very inspirational and really talented musician;but the shame is that so many people have never heard of him,or any of his songs..

The song is about being a lonely person trying to find his place in the world and being offered promises by a group who offer a sense of belonging and identity. This group want you to join them and show one face when they want you to join ( the nice face) but when you find they have many faces and are ultimately two faced. and they want to take over your thinking and your life. The person in the song was sold and but realised he was compromising and heard a voice crying "set me free". by channel Pinky Baloo. I wanted to tell that person that this description is EXCELLENT. But I find I cannot communicate or thumbs up or anything else. So I did this.

I don't know what this song was intended to mean, but it makes me think of the power the media has over the population in a sublime way, particularly makes me think how the robot people of the 21st century worship the media like a god, follow, and trust all they say.

maybe he's talking about Jehovah's Witnesses because he's talks about people that say we are the truth we are the way

It's a critique of polytheism. Religions that have different gods for every different occasion and emotion like Hinduism. These are the different 'faces'. Gods of war, and gods of peace.

@VittellaY This song is about religion. This is from one of Nik's interview: George Kent asks: "The song 'Faces' has always intrigued me. Is it about drugs or even religion?" Nik Kershaw: "I can't remember...but seriously, it's very difficult going back on old songs and trying to remember what you were thinking about when you wrote them...but I seem to remember it was about religion and the hypocrisy of some organised religions."

@VittellaY as far as i understood it, the song is about the different people that one meets in the world, some good, some bad, some use their face as a mask to hisde the reality . hope i helped :)
