I'm not a fan of Anette, I kind of tolerated her in Dark Passion Play but I can't get myself to enjoy Imaginaerum that much. I didn't find that new sound appealing. Hoooooooooooooooowever I have to admit this song kicks asses into oblivion!!! It's made perfectly, from the orchestra to the final result, and yes, I love Anette here more than I should. It's by very far my favourite song from the Anette era (I have yet to find a video of Floor singing this with decent quality).

As much as I prefer Tarja's vocals for the bands instrumentals, Anette actually sounds pretty good on these songs I have to admit. One thing that was always true about Nightwish is that they provided some of the best atmospheric instrumentals around in my opinion. They never lost that even when Tarja left so that's what always keeps me coming back. I would have loved to hear Tarja cover this song, I won't lie lol But Floor Jansen is great too, can't wait to hear how her voice will sound with the band with new material. She has the versatility for sure.Anyway, this is a great song. I love it. :)

This song and Last Ride of the Day remind me a lot of a DMT trip. Talking about tricksters and carnival rides and tentacles and shit. Especially the way the song ends, captures the essence of coming back to baseline.
