My favorite on the album. It's crazy to think that even on Nick's most subdued, somber work, Blixa's chaotic guitar is all over it. His creaking licks in the background take this track to another level.

this song reminds me of one thing...its...there no one kind of live thing that actually believes in god :D nothing... anyway what can i say most of them are right, since god is there but the books are clearly fake and most of the known facts are definitely fake :D

They're taking me down, my friendAnd as they uskher me off to my endWill I bid you adieu?Or will I be seeing you soon?If what they say around here is trueThen we'll meet againMe and you

I think it makes sense to interpret this song as a series of letters by criminal on death row The first is to a friend, The second to a lover, The third is a reply from the lover, 'if your heaven...' The fourth is by the inmate reflecting on the reply, it's more urgent and depressing, he'll be dead soon. The last stanza is by his lover, but its not a letter because he's dead at this stage, it's the idiot prayer, there is anger between the couple, skepticism about an afterlife.
