Dude, Jason made the Die chant and Whiplash his own while he was in Metallica, I'm pretty sure James and Lars would agree. He owns that shit live, and he fucking earned the right to play it for people that want to fucking hear it. Even Rob rips off Jason's "MOTHERFUCKER" during Creeping Death and has acknowledged he does it for the fans that missed it.

You have to remember when Jason joined Metallica in 1986 he was a hug Metallica fan!!!! That and the fact that he joined the band trying to replace the legendary cliff burton was the reason why Metallica hazed him so hard!!!! As James once said we wanted to be the fan part of him and and make him as tough as us!!! Jason is still a Metallica fan to this day and was giving the ok to play some Metallica songs at his gigs from Metallica!!
