tree adornment in winter is a pagan/scandinavian ritual. it is supposed to happen where the tree is - not after chopping it down. the ritual is so widely spread that even in central/eastern anatolia it is still celebrated under a different name and different time. and still wishes are involved.

OH MY GOD Best Christmas song ever. We're growing our own tree this year. It is literally a weed. It is growing in a perfect yuletide shape no need to murder a perfectly good tree ...... it's growing in a planter also.....cant even kill a pretty weed nor harm a fly.
