Curious about the comparisons to various gods and Jesus, etc…as far as looks go. An actor could be wearing a polka dot jump suit with yellow nail polish and green hair…if he is an actor worth his spit, doesn't matter what he looks like or if he looks like the character as we might envision that character in our minds…his job is to make us believe that he is that character. So, if he is going for the Jesus look, here, even with a mohalk and in frock and top coat….he should be able to make us believe that he is, in fact, Jesus. So, the comments about his appearing more like the Nordic, Thor than Jesus, should make no difference. I mean, we all see JC as a man, a young man with light brown hair and light eyes and skin and in good shape. Handsome. Artists have gotten us, through the centuries to accept this. In reality, like most other middle easterners, he was probably olive skinned with dark hair and dark eyes and given his poverty stroked diet, was probably not all taught and muscles but emaciated and thin to the point of sickliness. The artists, though…from Michelangelo to DaVinci to Raphael, Titian, El Greco, etc….would have us believe in the other 'light skinned' Jesus, so we do. An actor has the capacity to do the same. Might be blond and Nordic, but should be bale to convince us through the performance, that he is Aramaic and dark. Good performance, though…none the less…and I have loved that song for years done so well by the Fray and also, by the cast of 'Grey's Anatomy'!
