Here is an idea..... Literary devices are an important part of English literature. How many different literary devices can be found in different Hip Hop Songs? Nas is one of the greatest lyricist of our time. His flow is incredible and very grammatically sound. These are the methods that I would like to use to educate our young black students...... I still remember watching Rap City when i was 14, wondering how Doggy Dogg World slipped to number 2 and trying to fathom what song could possibly be the new number 1 on the countdown. Then this video came on. I never listened to Doggystyle for the whole rest of 10th grade. I was immediately transformed into a Nas/ Wu-Tang fan. This song was just so far ahead of its time.
