Nanci, I put this song on one of my videos. Wow you were young here, must have been before Austin City Limits. I think we need you to come back with a song that will help the USA. Michael

That's an interesting point, but I've never thought of the song as being directly about the tragic death of Mr. Winter-Smith. To me, it's about a person from Texas who inadvertently hears a random news story from the other side of the world and how it momentarily makes them reflect about their own life.

Sorry to be a "Moaner", but I served with Robin Winter-Smith on a British Army M/C Display Team and it hurts me to see this woman smiling when she sings about him losing his life in the way he did. Come on Nanci, have some respect.

Great song about a very sad event. Written by Richard Dobson. I was fortunate enough to hang out in Richard's living room when he still lived in Galveston after the 2nd annual Townes Van Zandt wake at The Old Quarter in 1999. Richard's a class act and one hell of a nice guy. This song was the first I'd heard of him and thank god and Nanci for it. Look him up folks! I see Roy Husky Jr. playin' bass in the background. Another amazing talent. Thanks for the video man...

I was at Elstree aerodrome in Herts, UK and saw Robin jump July 8th 1979, and he did indeed hit the ramp. It was a horrible event to witness that I only really rmembered yesterday and looked up the details. R.I.P.

She is just amazing. I love how much joy she gets from singing. I have never even heard this song before and I thought I knew everything she did.
