when I was pregnant with my son - in the late stages - when he just wouldn't settle down and stop moving so that I could get somewhat comfortable, if I played this song, or just sang it myself - it was the ONLY thing that would get him to settle and let me get comfortable. once he was born, this was included every night in the 3 - 5 songs I would sing him. And he would stay put and settle and be calm. We kept up that nightly ritual until he was 10 years old. And it ALWAYS worked. Such a beautiful song. and Elijah crawling around was just too cute!
