I think the people who got into Muse after Absolution have an easier time adjusting to the differing sounds of the albums because they already appreciate the more mainstream things. When they go back to Showbiz, Origins of Symmetry, or Absolution it's just discovering more facets to a well-rounded band. Those who were hardcore Musers from the getgo, however, see the change as too drastic. It's sad that they couldn't adapt to the new stuff.

Every now and then I have a 'Muse binge' on YouTube.And even though some of their songs are absolutely brilliant, like Sunburn, I get terribly fed up with Matt's voice after like four songs...Got that same feeling with Manic Street Preachers.But just to be clear: Muse has been a great band and Showbiz is a downright awesome album.
