Rising from the ashes of Green River, Mudhoney sounds like a heavily punk influenced Grunge band at first, but on the second listen they have the heavy sludgy distortion of the Melvins and Soundgarden. This unique combo easily cemented Mudhoney a place in Grunge history and played as an important influence on Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.

I was a metal kid and I bought this in 1988 when I was 16 because I thought they were head banging on the cover and they must be a metal band. They weren't and they completely changed my life. Nearly 40 now but I like nothing better to stick this on with the volume CRANKED.12 years ago
