Music IS an essential form of artistic expression and personal thought. It is NOT the very apex of vocal communication. Whether the lyrics be communist or capitalist music is just music. The lyrics mean nothing when music is thought of as an art form to be taken as an all encompassing sound. I can be an American capitalist pig and still find a song beautiful in every aspect regardless of lyrical content. You do not truly appreciate music if you cannot see vocals as another instrument.

Nothing is more essential than the lyrics. Of course, I'm a Swedish communist, so I quite enjoy the lyrics, they're very eloquent.
