You couldn't get people to listen to the Sparks in the 70's and the early 80's hits were pretty much KROQ stuff. But I love em just the same

This is indeed the Album Version, the first pressing anyways. Was released on an off label. Later the rights were picked up by a major label and the songs were remixed and pressed. The song was later remixed and pressed for a compilation album. The Song's ownership was returned to the current label and version.

Is this the album version? Sounds slower. C'mon Mael mavens, I'm sure someone knows the answer!

WOW! 10,000+ views. I am so pleased that so many have enjoyed, or at least re-enjoyed this wonderful song but one of the greatest bands ever, SPARKS! Thank you Ron and Russell Mael for your wonderfully talented and very witty musical interludes.

Yes indeed, Charlie Chaplinj, and an assoretment of others precedded Groucho Marx and his Brothers, Yetr there was something about Groucvho that lent itself to this particular video. They were all greats in their era, and a triburte to a sense of humor that has long since disappeared. Thanks for the comment.

@gahloot Long Hair, Skinny butts and still the infamous ---- Moustache----. The Revolution was the king of all snappy coasters. Boy do we age ourselves

@vants99 yep Roller-coaster was the first time I ever saw them also and I believe the may have still been called Full Nelson or half Nelson back then! I remember they had long hair then! And I road the revolution on opening day! LMAO! damn we thought that was the shit back then!

@gahloot Now that would have been a real treat. Their cameo as the band for the 70's 'B' movie, "Roler Coater", filmed at Magic Mountain was my first exposure. I believe they performed either Kimono My Huse or This Town Ain;'t big enough for the both of us.

@vants99 I used to see them at Magic Mountain!

@cashmoney1968 Most Definitely! I remember seeing them in the club scene in Hollywood, CA. USA Right after their Angst in My Pants album. Not only is their music Top Notch, but they were consumate shomen as well.

Totally agree, the Sparks were a highly disregarded band during the height of their career but their music will be their legacy.

@Serai3 I thank you for the comments and as for the image. It has to do with ratio of the original Groucho Marx foootage and my poor use of Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder to come up with a format that is You Tube friendly. Try watching the video in expanded screen or even full screen. I will keep trying to improve.

This is awesome, but why is the image so small? It's hard to read the lyrics.
