I was working in the Channel islands when this album was released. Still consider it to be my favourite ever. I was having a wild time with wine, women and song but I always counted the days to when I would be flying back home to the real love of my life. Sadly we eventually drifted apart (probably inevitably!) but this track was so perfect for the time - must have listened to it nearly every night for two wonderful years.

Once again ,tell me you couldn't imagine Ian Hunter writing or recording this song ,Mott was a like a part of you ,a state of mind, an incredible style , somthing that ,if it got in your blood , it stayed there for life . What passes for style today is sad ... the Glam thing tweeked the style a bit l guess ,it was a great time ta live and rock n roll ,ya know l "missed the suits ,and the platform boots" ,l had a few pair of platform shoes ,l dug em ,and l dug this line up just as the first

Love this song! Loved both the "Mott" albums. Then they were shut down from using the name and release one or two under the moniker "British Lions".

I think I am somewhat perverted, because I think Mott's 2 albuns are far better than all of Mott the Hooples'. And I am a big Mott the Hoople fan.
