Goddamn. It's like they covered this just for me. Couldn't have possibly made a more perfect song for me this year.

No, this isn't a demo. I can't recall which, but this was supposed to be released officially in 1990 on some sort of compilation. Not sure if this was planned before Andy died then eventually aborted, though. It SHOULD'VE been on Apple! Still shaking my head that it wasn't.

Love rock awaits you. They're like soup. They're like nothing bad. Let me tell you that much.

That's what this is. Seattle AOR stations (there were 2, plus a 3rd "classic rock" station) weren't playing MLB or any other local bands except Soundgarden when Andy died in 1990. After his death through the release of the LP, they played the shit out of it that summer, including this track, even though it's not on the LP or anyplace else "officially". However, that station DID name-check the title of a compilation where it was supposed to appear at some point, but, I don't think it ever did.

Oh really? Damn I would sure love to hear a studio version of this cover.

That's a bootleg. I was referring to an official release that I couldn't recall the name of. Maybe it was pulled after Andy died, I don't know, but, it definitely was intended for a compilation of some sorts, had the band not folded. Of course, going from memory of 20+ years I could be wrong, but I really don't think so.

It's on "Hello Hometown"

when they played despos just knew the name and thought it was funny because as a high school kid back in Iowa we use to decorate our folders with band names the more obscure and how many was ridiculously some kind of foolish ranking...like white zombie had the name on my folder but didn't hear the music until 91.lol see a hit parader was cheaper than buying all the albums reviewed in it..as a teenager in low class income...white zombie was doing music way before they got big

Hey! love this! I was a big "no one in Phoenix but me knows who they are guy." back in 89-90 had 3 shine copy's and 3 or 4 apples and it is time to get a few more...lol but this is cool and did not know it existed so THANK YOU VERY MUCH Andrew was one of a kind and i base this just on his words and lyrics, voice as he died 3 months prior to me hearing MLB for the first time. I sho wish I would have seen him live. they played at desperado's in Tempe AZ with dogs D'amour but I was 19....41 now lol

OMG, I can't believe I've never heard this before today! Thanks a million for posting this, this is sick! Some people were born to be stars, and Andrew Wood was one of them.
