I filmed & edited this video for The Mark Sandman Project at Hi-N-Dry Studios (www.hindry.com) in Somerville, MA. Les Claypool graciously dropped in to record "Honey White", a Morphine tune he is known to play at concerts, for the recently released Mark Sandman Tribute Album which commemorates the 10th anniversary of Mark's passing. Proceeds benefit the Mark Sandman Music Project which aims to give children the chance to learn how to play music.

Great to see Les with Morphine, I always had the intimate conviction that Primus (Sausage, C2B3, etc..) and Morphine were connected in some way all across the United States of Unconsciousness !

MAN! I saw Les Claypool jamming with Mark Sandman at a side stage at H.O.R.D.E. fest in… what… 1996? At Alpine Valley here in Wisconsin. I knew them both then and was stupefied as to what I just stumbled onto. This was not a planned thing, I think… and not their major acts because each played later on the big stage. I won't (and didn't) forget that moment and this here makes sense in ref to that!

Oh fuck! If Morphine were ever to tour again, this would be an excellent lineup!

A cover is a cover and it might be rather boring if it was exactly the same.

No no, he plays the bass. That's Dana Colley on the horn.

i strongly agree. even being a fan of les claypool, mark sandman's voice was an essential instrument for the music of morphine. on the other hand we have to recognize that the initiative of pay tribute to mark sandman deserves standing ovations from us. congratulations, but above all, thank you. M.

Souls have been an instrumental, mad love for claypool and primus, but his voice is misplaced in this song.
