Imagine fighting a war opposed by half the country (Vietnam in the '70s) or worse yet, fighting one endorsed by one-third, opposed by another one-third with the remaining one-third sitting on the fence and not giving a crap (American Revolution) .... Je suis tous a faits d'accord nos dirigeants politiques et militaires étaient indignes d'eux, cela viens a mon avis du résulta de la boucherie de 14/18 ou nos généraux avait eux aussi envoyez nos braves poilus face a des nids de mitrailleuses Maxim MG 08 dite la faucheuse, honneurs a tous ses braves, français, anglais, canadiens, américains a partie de 1917 et tous ceux que j’oublie . Que Dieu les gardes prés de lui il ont fait le plus grand sacrifice celui de leur vie, car il n'y rien de plus beau de mourir pour sa partie, mais rien de plus grand de vivre pour elle voila souvenons nous tous de cela .

Whilst having supper this music came on the radio on the eve of the Normandy Landings 70 years ago. The carnage on those beaches is unimaginable and we do well to remember the bravery of the British, Americans, Canadians, Australians and other allies who, but for their effort, we would not be able to enjoy the freedom we have, imperfect though at times it may be. We do well to remember their sacrifice on 6 June 1944 and remember the words of John Maxwell Evans, 'When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow we gave our today.'

Lorsque j'écoute cette belle musique je repense a mes vacances en Normandie, des plages d' Utah beach, d' Omaha Beacha Ouistreham que de lieux chargés d'histoire . Celle de milliers de soldats, Américain, anglais, Canadien, Français du commando Kieffer, et bien d'autres .Ils avait 17 ans pour les plus jeunes et ils ont fait le sacrifice ultime pour notre liberté, le plus poignant c'est le cimetière de colleville-sur mer juste en dessous il y a la plage d'omaha la sanglante comme certain la nome .Voila c'est ce que je ressent lorsque j’entends cette musique, souvenons nous de tous ses soldats morts pour que notre liberté soit possible .
