Awesome talent, but...she needs to loosen up and have fun, i am sure she enjoys playing but as a viewer its not as enjoyable when she doesn't even smile, none the less talented pianist.

+RollOnToVictory Mizzou and Memphis, too. But I think the Clemson band actually does the best version of this rag!

Great job! And I applaud you going up against Martin Spitznagel. He's a tough competitor. When you've had as many years on the piano as he has, he's in trouble! :)

People without talent have the need to put others down to build themselves up. She's young and did a good job. She will only get better.

Nice performance. Tiger rag was certainly not composed by Jelly Roll Morton even though he claimed it on the library of congress recordings. Most of the early New Orleans Jazz musician's credit it to the unrecorded trombonist Jack Carey (brother of Mutt Carey). Morton may have given it a new title though. The original of the tune contains a racial slur that I probably can't write on youtube.

great job! Love her stuff at 2 minutes in. Her elbow rolls are rushed though. Timing issues! Adams elbow "Roars' are right on the money. He feels the ragtime . She has mastered the technique only. Both have very accurate left hands in high speed, and thats hard to do! bravo!

She needs to relax and have fun like Jelly Roll did when he played it.

She obviously can hit all the notes now she needs to learn to make music and put some personality into what she does. A friend and great musician once said in a workshop "if you don't have a story to tell when you play then why are you playing".

@StirFriedPikeFungi I have to agree Adam Swanson put so much more flair into his performance. Morgan's performance has a dry cold precision to it while Swanson's was much more lively and engaging.
