No that was not Bobby Lester. The group at this time consisted of: Gary Rodgers, Pete Crawford, Bruce Martin and Gene Kelly.

I agree with Joycee5, you have the best quality videos and I'm glad you share them with the rest of the world. I have a question for you Schrooms73. What is the name of the guy doing lead ? I have seen him in other videos and and he comes closest to the sounds of Bobby Lester. Was that Bobby on the left ? The guy singing the high notes and the one singing base also sound very good.

You hit the nail on the head with your comment about the "falsetto nailing it"! It is a fabulous Moonglows tune, but I kinda thought the name of the group a bit misleading: Bobby Lester's Moonglows. Not only was Bobby Lester, Sr. dead a long time before this performance but none of the above singers is an original Moonglow. Was this Gary Rodgers on lead or Bobby Lester, Jr. handling it for this show?
