The Moody Blues sing Legend of a Mind in paris (1970). I had to edit the video so it would fit on youtube. So it may not be a clear copy like the rest of the videos in this concert in paris.

I think that the song is fantastic!, I remember checking out the record, "Days of Future Past", I think from the Wichita Public Library (Wichita Ks, USA) in the Summertime of 1974, or around that time when I was a teenager, excellent, experimental music of the songs, just awesome! :-)

I met and talked to Timothy Leary in 1987. He came to ASU to give a lecture. He partied at a club called Utopia where I was working. He was with 3 beautiful coeds and yes they were tripping. I couldn't get off work, damn it!

Edward, Great Comment, I'm 56, that comment is such a commentary on Today it's just scary! This all started when they killed Kennedy. Now we've got that "Thing" in Our White House" & just can't find a Crow Bar big enough to kick it out. But, Please stop by my channel sometime, I'd love a good chat. I've also a collection of the Greatest Rock & Roll from the mid 60's thru the mid 80's, I'm at 1,780 & counting. So, stop by if you'd like, your Friend in Music, Frosty

COINTELPRO tried to kill Leary in prison. Thats why The Brotherhood of Internal Love got the Weather Underground to break him out. Led by Bernardine Dohrn. What great times.

Dig out your headphones and play "Smells Like Team Spirit" from Nirvana's "Nevermind" The guitar solo walks back and forth from left to right and back. It was cool then, its cool now.

Legend of a Mind and the long version of Iron Butterfly's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida were staples on Cleveland progressive rock channel WMMS-FM. That was in the late 1960s and early 1970s when long versions were first played on radio. Up until then AM radio dominated. Listening to Legend in stereo was great due to the wonderful left-right channel shifts, like in Jimi's All Along the Watchtower. Either my ears are getting a lot worse or recordings aren't made like that anymore.
