I saw them play in the back of a little record shop in San Francisco in like 2003. I went across the street to get a burrito and it turns out my friend had the whole band wait for me to get back until they played this song. Then when they played it, it was like they were holding back and then they just destroyed everything when they played it, the guitarist was jumping off the top of his amp and shit and they just really thrashed it out. In this tiny space in the back of a closed record shop with like 20 people total at the show. Good times.

If you think the Alexisonfire cover is better, shoot yourself in the face right now.

I have to say , both this and tonight I'm gone sound like bad covers of alexisonfire's version, even though these are the originals...

@hayate3 See, this is what I like about finding people like you on Youtube. Whereas most would simply say "NO, UR RONG. N HAVE A TINY PENIS," you decided to analyse my response and answer intelligently, so I respect you as a gentleman and a scholar. However, I will say this: As I've come to remember, I was introduced to Moneen, through this cover. I imagine that's why I enjoy the AOF version just that tad more: I've had more time with it.

@ipoopicecream And i totally agree with you from the perspective I just find it hard how people can say that a cover is masterful, seemingly to the extent that the covering artist(s) are believed to have made the track from the ground up. I'm a strong believer in making things 'newer' by introducing an element of re-arrangement to a piece before made.. Although as a fan of Moneen and AOF - i believe that the original is the better piece. Even though the cover was obviously amazing

It's weird. I like the Alexisonfire cover of this song better, but when it comes to Accidents I like the Moneen cover better than the original...

@hayate3 I disagree completely. First of all, you compared a cover of this song to what is regarded as one of the greatest songs of all time being covered. Second, I find that covers depend on the listeners view of aesthetics. Where as most songs are just good or bad, covers are a different take on the song, and therefore should be taken in within the realms of the song. For example, Mad World by Tears for Fears. TFF did it as a happy song, where as Gary Jules did it as a melancholy piece.
