Actually RZV produced Hatchet's 1st album (until the plane crash) and would have Hatchet play songs he had written (while the Skynyrd guys were there) and say "THAT'S how I want it played!"

I think skynyrd will forever be misrepresented but a select few songs they wrote like Sweet Home Alabama, Free bird and Gimme Three Steps. Everyone seems to forget Poison Whiskey, Same Old Blues, Double Trouble. But anyways long like Skynyrd, long live Molly Hatchet and LONG LIVE SOUTHERN ROCK!!!!

i remember in an guitar mag article, the writer stated that hatchets music was nothing but, second rate skynyrd. so full of shit. alot heavier than skynyrd.

I wonder if Ronnie Van Zant were to have heard Hatchet's first two albums if he would have been impressed. I love Hatchet. You know music is like food...so many different flavors and Molly Hatchet had a great flavor...can you say...ROBUST ?

Just played the first two Molly Hachet Lps on my Technics SL-1200MK2 through a Sansui 2000X receiver with JBL L19 speakers. The 2000X was one of Sansui's finest examples of tube-sounding Solid State in SS's early days. Warm and buttery sounding, the only way to hear the Hatchet!
