Za predaj bol od RIAA ocenený platinovou platňou.V 80. rokoch bývalí členovia skupiny podľa tejto skladby pomenovali svoju novú skupinu.Gator Country tvorili Steve Holland gitara, Bruce Crump bicie, Riff West basová gitara a Jimmy Farrar spev.Dňa 19. novembra 2014 zomrel Riff West a 16. marca 2015 Bruce Crump v dôsledku rakoviny hrdla na ktorú sa liečil od roku 2002.Medzi živými nie je ani spevák Danny Joe Brown, ktorý zomrel 10. marca 2005 na komplikácie v súvislosti s diabetickým ochorením a Duane Roland, ktorý zomrel 19. júna 2006 prirodzenou smrťou.

I remember seeing molly hatchet at carowinds theme park in charlotte nc back in 79 or 80. it cost $7 to get in the park and $3 extra to see the concert.

Yes. They have never gotten the recognition that they deserve. First two albums were great and what a fantastic live band they were.

I saw Hatchet 6 times. Used to see them at a small club in Cincinnati club in the 80's. Once I had to work the next day after standing near the left side of the stage. My ears were ringing so bad at work that I had to basically read everybody's lips to know what they were saying. When I went to bed at 11:00 pm the night after that show,my left ear was still ringing. Yes my children,they were that loud!
