Really interesting. Great musicianship. Love how the vocal line follows the guitar so precisely. Words came at me so fast and furious I wasn't sure what the song was about. Have to give it another listen to try to pay attention to the lyrics. Composition fresh and intriguing. Little bits of Ann Wilson in voice, and that's a GREAT thing in my book. Gonna check out more from them.

This is a wonderful musical recipe - a sprinkle of Gentle Giant kissed by Ella Fitz. with a side of Zappa, may he rest in peace.. I would like to see those lyrics, how about a digital transcript of words by MoeTar ?

Saw them at Rosfest a couple of years ago and thought they were great. Quite different from most of the bands who usually play there but they were a very pleasant surprise at least for me. Great band and great singer.

"This song slyly and skillfully dissect the perils of our consumer culture and our belief systems" When you describe your own lyrics as sly and skillful....I hoped you would deliver. Doesn't matter what I would say, you hold for "uploader approval"

MoeTar's debut album From These Small Seeds was released by Magna Cata last year and did not get even close to the attention it deserved. Unabashedly both prog and genuinely progressive, mixing dollops of Zappa, Stevie Wonder, Beatles and...I want to say UK? into a truly unique mix of melodic inventiveness and instrumental exploration.Whatever the influences, it's an exhilarating album full of ideas and some massive chops all around, not least from singer/my new crush Moorea Dickason. The video linked here is for the track that is clearly the most mainstream on the album - and probably one of my least favorite tracks off it, even if it is pretty damned good. I'll also link to the album's opening track Dichotomy in comments, which I think better captures MoeTar's greatness.I'm dearly looking forward to their sophomore effort.
