I've seen them this year at an actual venue with actual fans, and it was amazing. They couldn't give less of a fuck about the crowd here, everyone was just shouting "Float On" the whole time, and no one was paying attention. By the end, when the crowd realized that they weren't going to play Float On, everyone starting booing and left all mad.

The audio in these vids isn't that great so that doesn't help anything, but make no mistake they have an extremely "rough" live sound, and they always have. Some shows sound cleaner than others, some are really good and some aren't. But it's not that they "suck" or lack talent, it's just their sound. Most MM fans I've encountered don't simply accept this, but *love* it. This wasn't the best show ever, but I think it was pretty good...better than Coachella for example.
