When we lived in the Richmond back in 65 - 67 my older brother would take me to Golden Gate Park in the summers and we would catch all the bands jamming at the band shell.. I was 8 to 10 years old and loved going with my big brother who was so cool ....heard the Dead, and Moby grape and many others...Miss my big brother Mike.. R.I.P.

Jerry Miller put most of the '60s SF guitarists to shame with his fluid knowledge of blues. He and the other guitarists created a gorgeously dense pastiche of guitar. The best band of the time, and only one chart hit. Problems with management (Matthew Katz) and drugs (Skip Spence) sent the band off the rails.

This song was written for His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and first performed at the Mantra Rock Dance, January 29th, 1967.

My band fronted them at a gig in'67. They were fantastic musicians and song writers. Such phenominal talent should never have come to such a tragic end.

It was either Tom Johnston or John Hartman of The Doobie Brothers who used to hang with these guys back when The Doobs were not even a band, yet.

What a difference a day has madeWhat a difference a day has madeWhat a difference and more of the sameWhat's that song you're singing?Just a bell ringing in my mindWhat's that tune you're bringing?Just part of what there is to find(Refrain)What's this deeper here?Something that you've always beenIs it you I've finally found?Brought you up, now brings you down(Refrain)What's this song you're bringing?Just a bell ringing in my mindIs it forever ever? That's the part that blows my mind
