Absolument d'accord avec iosonodede... Elle a une voix (et un style à la Dalida), mais elle ne tient pas du tout les notes comme le faisait Piaf !! ... avec l'émotion en moins et le sur-jeu en plus... :((

I disagree. Musically. It seems that Milva can't make a long vibrato, even the long-ending-note is not one whole note, but its separated. I think Édith sings better in this case, in fact she's able to breathe and hold the note. Also Milva pretends to be spectacular which is normal for the 80s, but now it's not appreciated anymore. For these and other reasons –in this case– Piaf is better.

Milva ist eine begnadete Sängerin mit ausdrucksstarker Stimme und viel Charme...... eine superschöne Version dieses Chansons, ohne Zweifel, aber " Mon dieu " ..... von Edith Piaf gefällt mir noch besser ! Sie hat es so leidenschaftlich gesungen, wie noch keine zuvor ! Lb.Gr. von Lailah.

She sings more beautifully than Edith! However, her French is not good and that's distracting. I cannot believe I am saying this, that musically she sings better than Edith, who is still the greatest of all. Edith sang this with conviction, with sadness, from her heart, just like how she sang Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. Milva has a better voice not ruined from street singing and substance abuse, but she doesn't have the same feeling. Still, she came closer than Mathieu, Bassey, & all the rest.
